- When you create Xiaomi Account, download or update Xiaomi software, register in Xiaomi Phone Online Store, take part in online surveys or other activities held by Xiaomi Inc., we’ll ask for your personal information, including but not limited your name, telephone number, E-mail address, mail address and so on.

- When you use Xiaomi products to share information with your family and friends, to send messages and products or invite other person through Xiaomi BBS, we will collect the information which you provide and is relevant with such people, for example name, mail address and telephone number and so on.
- When you use and activate Xiaomi mobile devices for the first time, the mobile user identification information, mobile device unique identification and the location information of your device will be send to Xiaomi. The collection of such information may apply to the updates of your system or software, recovery of factory settings or situations like before.
The use of Personal Information
- Xiaomi will strictly comply with this Privacy Policy and the updates hereof when using your Personal Information. Your Personal Information will be solely used for purposes which you are consent before collection, except as contemplated hereby, we will ask for your consent before we use such information for other purposes.
- The Personal Information will be used for providing Xiaomi products and services, dealing with your orders or performing the contracts between you and Xiaomi, in order to ensure the safety and function of our products and services, verify your identity or prevent and call for fraud or any other kind of improper use.
- The Personal Information will be used for developing our products and services, however, in most cases we will solely use comprehensive information and statistical information for such purpose.

The collection of Non-personal Information
- When you create Xiaomi account, download Xiaomi software and its updates, register in Xiaomi Phone Online Store, take part in online surveys or other activities held by Xiaomi Inc., we will collect your information such as profession, language, postcode, area code and the time zone where Xiaomi products were used.
- Information relevant with usage habits and problem discovery—when you take part in Xiaomi “User Experience Improvement Plan”, we will anonymously calculate your usage of products functions when needed, in order to collect your habits information with respect to usage of Xiaomi official website, products and services. When system non-normal exits or collapses, we will collect environmental information of the mobile phone to diagnose problems.
- The Server Records—when you use products such as MIUI themes, Speaktoit Assistant and Brower, Xiaomi will collect the server records of your usage data such as uploading, downloading, synchronizing, browsing information and so on. Such information shall be deemed as Non-personal Information.
- Location Information—when you use location-based programs provided by Xiaomi, we will collect your location information. - Log Information—when you visit Xiaomi server, we will automatically store such log information. Such server log information may include: IP address, browser type, browser language, referral URL, operating system, date/time stamp and click-stream data.
The use of Non-personal Information
- The Non-personal information which we collect, such as profession, language, postcode, area code and time zone where Xiaomi products being used, will be helpful for us to know users behaviors, improving our products, services and ads.
- We will analyze the data from Xiaomi “User Experience Improvement Plan” to continuously improve the operating experience, operating performance, fixed problem and develop function designs of our products and services.
- We will use information collected by Cookies or other technologies (such as pixel label) to provide you with better user experience, and to promote our overall service quality. For example, by means of storing your language preference settings, we will show our service in your preferred language. We will send you readable format E-mail by using pixel label, and be noticed if the E-mail is read. We will use such information to reduce, even stop, the E-mail delivery to you.

Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it (unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes). When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. Collection and use of children's Personal Information
Xiaomi suggests that children under 13 years of age get prior approval from their legal guardian before using Xiaomi products and services. Xiaomi will not collect children's Personal Information if we know the user a child, nor will we disclose such information to any third party. The Guardian shall have the right to reject Xiaomi and its affiliates to collect his/her children's Personal Information, or request the deletion of such Personal Information. If we collect the Personal Information of children under 13 years old, we will delete it as soon as we know.
The changes of Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent, unless we provide you with an E-mail notice or site notice.

The following notices explain specific privacy practices with respect to certain Xiaomi products and services that you may use.
Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service
Xiaomi is the provider of Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service. You can enjoy certain internet functions by Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service, including storing your Personal Information (such as message, contact person, photo, screenshot, note, E-mail, calendar etc.) in your compatible devices and computers and providing access to such information. When you use Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service to recover phone services, you will be asked to upload Personal Information, including location information. Once you launch Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service, your Personal Information will be sent to Xiaomi automatically and Xiaomi will store such information. As a result, you access to such information or push such information wirelessly to your devices or computers which launch Xiaomi Cloud Synchronous Service.
